Introducing Monique M. Barbour, MD: a board certified ophthalmologist.

Dr. Barbour is the medical director of Clear Vue Eye Center, a comfortable, state-of-the-art vision care center. She received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, N.Y. She also completed a fellowship in Glaucoma at Georgetown University and Refractive Surgery at the world renowned Institute de Clinica Barraquer in Bogata, Columbia. As a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Barbour is dedicated to providing the highest quality of ophthalmic care.

Dr. Barbour has performed thousands of microsurgical procedures including “No Stitch” cataract surgery and glaucoma surgery. She is well trained and equipped to diagnose and treat diabetic patients. We have both a fundus camera with angiographic capabilities as well as injectables and laser to treat both diabetic and age related retinopathy of all stages. In addition, aesthetic surgery in BOTOX, RESTYLANE and JUVEDERM injections, eyelid rejuvenation and brow lift surgeries.

Dr. Barbour can be urgently consulted for ocular emergencies of any kind. She treats all patients of any age. She is also tri-lingual and on staff at Wellington Regional Hospital, has privileges at NovaMed Outpatient Surgery Center and Wellington Surgical Center.

Dr. Barbour also offers convenient ophthalmology care to those patients that reside in Assisted Living Facilities and other Nursing Facilities that face everyday challenges with transportation, immobility, and availability. The quality healthcare she provides consists of thorough examinations, diagnostics, treatments and even some minor surgical procedures at bedside with the patient. She is prepared with all the portable equipment, supplies and an assistant to perform any immediate or extended care needed. She will also do a complimentary initial screening for you and your staff. The billing specialists at Clear Vue Eye Center will submit all of the medical billing, therefore creating no additional work for your staff. We accept most major insurances including Medicare and Medicaid.

In addition, we offer a full optical with an operable lab on sight, staffed with an optician. In most cases, we are able to make glasses for our patients in a reasonable time period. We carry designer frames and high quality lenses at affordable prices. We are also an authorized contact lens distributor for all major brands.
